I'm a dad, husband and illustrator.

We live in Arizona with two dogs and and almost any other animal that scratches on our front door. Even though almost everything in the desert either bites, pokes or stings we call it home.

When not creating artwork for lots of fun people I am busy hiking, biking, exploring and bothering those around me.

Yes: Ant farms, robots with death rays, superheros and Riders In The Sky.
No: Angry mobs, two-headed animals, peas, tank tops at weddings.

School Visits

I am the illustrator for the popular My Weird School series. My whimsical, award winning illustrations can be seen in more than 100 children’s books. I have also worked with Disney, Nickelodeon and lots of other fun people. My presentations include drawing with the students, talking about how I became an artist and writer, how books are made, and how kids can follow their own creative path. During the presentation, I keep it light and fun and I encourage questions. I have done many school visits. Sometimes the presentations include the whole school and sometimes 1-3 smaller sessions with various age/grade groups. Because many schools have a particular agenda and school sizes and needs vary, I don’t really have a set price. The factors that I consider are where the school is and how many presentations the school is needing.
